Summertime Musical Adventures

June 27, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$13 – $15

On Wednesday, June 27th, 2018, at 7:30 pm, The Plumbing Factory Brass Band will perform a concert of popular summer favourites plus seldom heard pieces descriptive of the season.  Some of the titles are embedded in the rhyme below.

Please join us for an enjoyable evening.

Circus marches and fanfares, played under the Big Top;

They go so fast, the musicians just can’t stop.

Barnum & Bailey, and Ringling, and Sousa;

and tunes published by Barnhouse in Oskaloosa.

[Ringling Bros Grand Entry, Barnum & Bailey’s Favorite,

On Parade, Liberty Bell, Rolling Thunder]

A night serenade and an optimist’s tale;

[O summer Night by Donizetti, Bernstein’s Candide Overture]

A warm, gentle rain falls with no wind nor hail.

[Soft Summer Rain by David Baker]

A dog and his musical owner go prancing;

[The Whistler and his Dog by Pryor]

A tuneful maxixe makes us want to go dancing.

[La Sorella – Spanish March by Borel-Clerc]
